I loved this! Here is my Money lesson that I created. Younger children have so much trouble with money (especially teaching special education) yet it is such an important lesson they need for their lives. Here is the snapshot:
I would keep this picture up on the ELMO or projector so that my students will have a visual that they could refer to when working. I kept playing with Jing and my favorite part is the sun at the top of my computer. The image is ingenious as I am sure most people smile when they are using it (who doesn't like the sun?). I like tools that are user friendly and Jing's design is right up my alley.
A Jing image is saved as PNG files (portable network graphics). I saved my image to a folder for all of my school work. I clicked on the floppy disc and then selected the correct folder. I accessed my history again with the wonderful sun icon. I hovered over the three "rays" and selected history. I had played with a few different images and was surprised when they all were there. I had just saved a few of the images and screen casted the other ones. I loved the fact that the "saved" ones could be screen casted later. The link is already saved and there is no copy and paste, you only have to paste! Applying everything I created into my blog was the same; insert link or picture. I love the fact that if I wanted to share this with another teacher, I can email or Skype them the link! I cannot believe the amount of useful tools that I will be USING when this class is over.
