Google Forms

Google docs was a fun activity. My best friend is the queen of Google docs and uses it for EVERYTHING. I would use this survey to help fill my new classroom library. Other parents could view the spreadsheet and try to not duplicate donations or look at the genre of books the students like to read. The only problem I encounter is that I work at a school that is so rural that not one of my students have a computer let alone the Internet. I have worked at school's where parent's prefer this type of communication and I would definitely prefer to have all of my data in one place.

I can email the newsletter, put the link on edline, or put the web address on a newsletter to be sent home.  The form can be viewed in the live form, you can view answers on spreadsheet in google docs, or embed the form straight to the school's webpage.

The spreadsheet gives data that allows others to view answers also. This is a very helpful tool when donating items to school, planning parties, setting up conferences, or building a class library. A parent will already know that timeslot 4:15 is already taken during a parent teacher conference and they would need to choose another time. Here is also the graphs which I would rather view when gathering information.

ISTE NETS standards: 2A, 2B, 2C, 3B, and 3C
